Breaking: '30 Rock,' 'The Office' Renewed, More 'ER' Eps & a Poehler Premiere Date
No surprise, but NBC President of Primetime Entertainment Angela Bromstad just announced that we're getting another season of 30 Rock, The Office and The Biggest Loser. All well deserved renewals. Also, three additional episodes of ER are on tap (bringing their final season to a total of 22 hours) and a premiere date for the Amy Poehler sitcom project has been decided: April 9th at 8:30. Excited?

Wow! So this leaves three hours for NBC to complete for next seasons schedule. Yawn! Don't care. As far as I am concerned NBC has left the building and the building has been demolished.
I do not understand why NBC keeps these low rated comedies.
NBC is cancelling dramas that rank as low .
I don't get why 30 Rock and its low ratings on Thursdays gets early renewal yet FNL has to fight for its life and ends up on DTV. FNL aired on Fridays and didn't have that many less viewers then 30 Rock does on Thursdays. Isn't Thursday the big night when networks want high ratings and Fridays a wasteland of low ratings?
There's some real bitterness here. Congrats to 30 Rock and the Office! They deserve their renewals. FNL is a fantastic show and I hope it gets renewed as well. Sometimes people can't just enjoy good news.
I agree with Emily. All of these shows deserved pickups. FNL could be renewed like last time.
Kudos for NBC for renewing "30 Rock", "The Office" and "The Biggest Loser" which had it highest ratings for a new season, but I hope NBC renews "Chuck" as well despite few hours left in their primetime programming due to Jay Leno taking the 10:00 hour but "Chuck" as well as "FNL" deserve renewals...and "Lipstick Jungle" isn't dead yet, so yeah!!!!
NBC's comedies aren't low-rated. All NBC cares about are viewers 18-49, and their comedies do very well in the demo.
I'm on board with the April debut for Amy's show. That means what, an 8 episode pickup likely to run through end of May? It doesn't have the pressure of being a fall debut and compete for attention or even a midseason and expect to carry 13 weeks of a timeslot. It gets promo attention and hopefully the trial run gets fairly decent numbers for a renewal. It has worked for NBC in the past...
Thanks archysangel for reminding me...NBC NEEDS TO RENEW CHUCK!!!
I am happy about the extra time at County General...as long as Dr. John Carter still gets the last line and thinks wrap up nicely while still letting us imagine the characters as they go on with their post-ER lives!! :)
30 rock is the worst show ever.watching a show of 30 rock is like watching gr*** grow. Not one funny scene.Only a idiot would think 30 rock is funny. It took Sarah palin to get people to watch it and once they did they saw it SUCKS.
