You Ask, I Answer: Is 'ER' Getting Another Season? Plus, 'Privileged,' '90210' & More
ER, Privileged, 90210, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives and a little Office treat. Enjoy...
Oh, and p.s., I'm interviewing One Tree Hill's Mark Schwahn tomorrow, so if you've got questions, email me at kghosh@zap2it.com
Yo, any dirt on ER? -Phillip
Uh, yeah. I'm hearing that NBC execs are seriously considering a 16th season, though they've touted this year as the final curtain for quite some time now. Insiders tell me the Peacock net is hoping to keep County General open for business, as ER continues to win its time slot each week. Word is, the suits and creatives are meeting in an effort to work something out. Thoughts?
Korbi, thanks for the Privileged deets! I'm glad you heart this show
too. Here's a question for you, has
Privileged received a full-season order yet? Does it look promising? -snamgal
As you may have heard, the CW ordered extra episodes last week, bringing their total order to 18, and that will be it for the first season. Exec. producer Rina Mimoun told me they are treating hour 18 as their finale. And in case you're wondering, yes, they are currently thinking about season two possibilities as well, though they're not yet sure if Privileged will be renewed. Keep your fingers crossed and keep telling your friends about the show.
So, what's the deal with Ryan on 90210? Did he leave for good? Shouldn't he be coming back to West Beverly now that the whole drug bust undercover thing is over? -Kaitlyn
I'm told Mr. Matthews is just taking a bit of time off to travel through the lovely nation of India. He'll be MIA for a bit, but should return to BH around late January.
Any Brothers & Sisters scoop for me, Korbi? -Tanya
Next year, baby Elizabeth will fall ill, and the family will be forced to find out whether Justin or Kevin is her biological father.
I am loving Desperate Housewives right now. Any idea what we can expect after all this fire business is over? -Geri
I think one of the housewives is going to have a heart attack. Any guesses on who...
Office! Office! Office! -Marsha
Marsha! Marsha! Marsha! ...Calm yourself with these newly released webisodes:

Thanks for the scoop!
I have come to terms with the fact that my beloved ER is "closing the doors forever", and although it saddens me, I think that I have prepared for it, so I don't think that NBC should try for another season.
(I kinda feel the same way about a "JD-less" Scrubs!)
did they learn *nothing* from "7th heaven"? "er" really needs to end. they've gone all out with the guest stars and the big events and the wrap ups and this needs to be it. it needs to end as planned instead of dragging the dead corpse through another year.
I loved Andy's little speech about the word "webisode" in the interview.
Please don't tease me like that. ER coming back for another year is the best possible news you could give me on an otherwise awful day. It's been so good this year that I can't imagine why they'd end it.
uhhhh...since when is "ER" winning its time slot this year? Last I checked, ELEVENTH HOUR and LIFE ON MARS were trumping it on a regular basis.
ER has the best demos, season to date in that timeslot. I think it might also have higher total viewership than the fading Life on Mars, though I'm not positive. Anyway, winning the demos is the most important thing to the networks.
But I think ER should end it with this season. Billing it as the last one and then extending it just doesn't feel right. It's had a great run and this year it's mostly going out the right way. It's time to be over. It really is.
Another season for ER? Please, tell me it's a joke, a bad one. Are they insane?
This season of ER has been fantastic! I hope they bring it back for many more seasons...maybe make Ray a series regular again...pretty please?!
Kath...I actually wouldn't mind to see a new incarnation of Scrubs. It might not work but I think retooling a show could potentially work much better than keeping another on life support. I still watch ER, but I don't connect to it like I used to. And since they killed Mekhi, I've liked it even less.
ER -- let's call it
DNR please.
