The writers strike wreaked havoc all over the scripted-television landscape last season, but it may have been felt more acutely on ABC's Wednesday lineup than anyplace else.
Tomorrow, ABC's Wednesday night lineup of Pushing Daisies, Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money returns and I must admit that I'm psyched.

On last week's deliciously incestariffic Nairtini of an episode of Gossip Girl, the unthinkable happened: Serena Van Der Woodsen Bass Etc suddenly remembered that she was way, way out of Dan Humphrey's league. And told him so. Cleavage was involved. Awesomeness ensued.
Sometimes the small episodes of a sitcom are the best. It's the episodes where very little happens from which the most humor can be gleaned. Such was certainly the case with tonight's How I Met Your Mother, which revolved all around Marshall's search for the best hamburger ever created.
The judges were a little grumpy on tonight's Dancing with the Stars. Maybe it's because to fill the two hours we had to endure much longer interview segments with Samantha Harris and the couples. *shudder*

I was really hoping for a moment in Monday's Heroes in which Noah Bennet would turn to Sylar and say, "I'm getting too old for this." And even though HRG was traveling with a lethal weapon, it was not to be. Which is a shame, because the rest of the episode didn't offer too many thrills either.
Prison Break pulls the old bait-and-switch on us this week when one of the Breakouts gets nabbed. Plus, Gretchen gets down with her bad self, the Death Fairy attempts to be threatening, and Agent Don Self discovers it pays to carry a change of underwear.
Tonight's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles delved deeply into how Cameron became Cameron. It certainly opened up many more questions and avenues of exploration than whatever it may have answered. With the multiple flashbacks to the future (that's right, "flashbacks to the future"), it was also a little confusing at times. But, if Back to the Future taught me anything, it's that you roll with punches in these situations.
Tonight was one of those episodes of Boston Legal where I found myself pretty much agreeing with everything the lawyers at Crane, Poole, and Schmidt had to say, but also mostly sure that they shouldn't win any of their cases. I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that we just didn't see every little facet of each case, and that the lawyers won each case in those bits we didn't see.
