August 2008
OK, it's been a few rough episodes, Lost fans. I spent the first few episodes of this season seriously reconsidering my own semi-low opinions of this season, only to be brought back down to earth by the post-"Orientation" episodes.
There are some interesting moments in TNT's new drama Raising the Bar. Unfortunately, they don't make up the bulk of the show.
The Power of Veto competition has taken place (it happened last night between midnight and 3:00 am Big Brother time) and there is an interesting plan in place. I cannot wait to see how this one plays out. Follow along after the jump for this interesting turn of events.
Ollie was the unfortunate victim of the Big Brother fast-forward Thursday night and was on the block, not vetoed and out of the house in the span of an hour. The fast-forward night rules! I also hope the fast-forward means that someone is being voted back into the house. There are several houseguests I'd like to see given another shot. Also because of how crazy it would drive the jury members. Follow along after the jump for Ollie's exit interview.
Well, the new Big Brother Head of Household has made the nominations tonight. I'm not terribly surprised by one and I am fairly surprised by the other. The HOH has some rather weird logic going on with this one, in my opinion. Follow along after the jump to see who the HOH has nominated.
Ready for a shocking death that will change everything you know about the Lost universe? Me too! Unfortunately, it doesn't happen in this episode. I know, bummer. What we get instead is the ignominious death of a character no one ever really liked, a victim not only of her own shortcomings as a character but a vicious attack on her screen time by those selfish Tailies.
It's rare to hear a network television star sing the praises of jumping the shark, but Wentworth Miller of Prison Break does just that.

This is why we like Jane Kaczmarek: Because when I ask a question of her that I know to be silly, she answers it in equally good humor.
How can something so potentially good go so wrong?

Last night there was a lot of stuff happening in the Big Brother house. Michelle was evicted 3-1, Keesha won Head of Household and nominated Jerry and Ollie, Dan won the Power of Veto and elected not to use it and then Ollie was evicted 3-0. Whew! Big night! But there was an unaired Head of Household competition after the live show and I'm here to let you know what happened.
