Quick TV Fix: Kristin Chenoweth & Aaron Sorkin Are Back On, Plus News on '90210,' 'Terminator,' 'Reaper' & 'The Office'

Okay, if you're a KTV regular, you know this ain't no gossip column. I mean, not really. But the real life Matt Albie and Harriet Hayes back together?! -- It's a Studio 60 ref, for those who've already erased Aaron Sorkin's last TV endeavor from their memory -- That totally qualifies as legit TV news. 

Yes, small-screen God Sorkin and his lovely little muse with the large voice, the Emmy-nominated Ms. Kristin Chenoweth, are back on. The two showed up at ABC's Television Critics Press Tour together last night and I do believe I'm the only red carpet talker who caught the duo on tape. Always lovely, Chenoweth stopped to chat with me on-camera and her very accomplished date -- who I almost didn't recognize 'cause he's crazy tan and is sporting blonde hair at the moment -- gamely got in on the interview action. Stay tuned for that video, which we'll post sometime on Monday.

Okay, on to the actual TV scoop...

Is the new 90210 already going all Peach Pit: After Dark on us? Word is the show is shopping for a well-known musician, who's popular with the kids these days, to guest on the series' second episode.

By the way, casting for recurring regulars is continuing at a rapid rate: sources say main characters Ethan and Naomi are getting best friends. Naomi will be gifted with an entourage of hot girls, while Ethan's best buddies will be lacrosse teammates. Annie (new Brenda) is getting a new boyfriend. Plus, we'll meet Navid (new David Silver/Andrea Zuckerman)'s parents -- Dad's a porn producer, P.S. -- They're also bringing a bitchy, blonde bombshell, early 20s type into the mix.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- check back later for video of me interrogating the cast of that show as well -- is adding a 20s-ish lady to their cast this season too. I'm told she'll be a new resistance soldier who'll do anything for the cause.

Over on Reaper, Sam will have a new friend who's a total sports nut next year. I hear he'll be a quirky sort of character who sold his soul to the Devil and spent three years in Hell. While serving that time, he successfully devised a plan to trick the Big D out of their deal and is now back on Earth trying to be the best human being he can.

And a little announcement for The Office fans in the Scranton, PA vicinity: Tomorrow, Mindy Kaling (aka Kelly Kapoor) will be there, hosting a Beet Eating Contest and a couple other Dunder-Mifflin-related events, in honor of the new games that are based on the show. If you're around, do stop by, because she's promised to participate in the beet eating and I'd really like to hear how that goes...
