Yes, I'm talking about 'Lost' again
Well I have some good news and some bad news for you.
The bad news is I'm talking about it again today because how could I not? Tomorrow is the two hour season finale we've been waiting all season for and I am too stressed out not to process/discuss/fret/freak out/go to my happy place with those of you who love the series as much as I do. I am so happy that this is the only big TV event happening in my life this week.
The good news is that tomorrow is the two hour season finale of Lost so you should get at least a little bit of a reprieve from my Lost chatter.
Okay for those of you who are still with me, take a deep breath, hold my hand and let's discuss shall we? Here's what we know:
1. We will find out who was in the coffin in last season's finale. When I spoke to Michael Emerson at the beginning of the season, he said he didn't think it would be interesting enough if it was Ben in the coffin. I think it would be interesting and it would certainly fit because we know Ben makes it off the island but I don't know if his death would be that upsetting for Jack. Many of you have mentioned that it couldn't be one of the celebrated Oceanic 6 because certainly that would attract a fanfare of media attention. So I think that leaves Michael. Although as soon as I write that I think, "It couldn't be Michael, they have made a point this season showing us that he couldn't die. Oh but maybe he could die since he tried to go back and rescue people." So I'm just as confused as ever. Who do you think is in the coffin? Talk about it below.
2. We will find out how the Oceanic 6 gets rescued and how they get separated from the rest of the group. I am most worried about this reval as I think this is when we could find out if Sawyer and Jin live to see season five. I'm just warning you now that if Jin dies, you may find a picture of me rocking back and forth in the corner instead of a post from me on Friday.
What is stressing you out about the Lost finale? Talk about it below.
Where Have I Seen Them Before?
Michelle caught Marshall Allman as Jeremy, the teen with a brain tumor who died on Grey's Anatomy. He's LJ on Prison Break. Michael and Mvan were the first to recognize Jurnee Smollett as his girlfriend Beth. She was in the movie The Great Debators and among her many TV roles, she was Holly in Wanda at Large, Jurnee on The Cosby Show, and Denise in Full House.
Jana Kramer was the girl the boy trapped in cement liked. She's Smash's girlfriend Noelle on Friday Night Lights.
Erik Palladino was the NYC cop working the random murders on Criminal Minds. He was Sgt. Chris "Scream" Silas in Over There, Lt. Michael Daghlian in Joan of Arcadia and Dr. Dave Malucci on ER. Jack McGee, Chief Jerry Reilly on Rescue Me, was his partner. We just saw McGee as the murdering father-in-law in an April episode of CSI.
Ask TV Gal
I have received so much email about the season finale of NCIS. I had a chance to speak to Mark Harmon right before the finale aired and he told me there would be "surprises beyond the surprises." I didn't know what he could have meant but now I do. From what I understand the cast will return next season (except of course for Lauren Holly). My guess is that it will be a little like when the CSI teams were all on different shifts -- eventually everyone will come back together. But I'm actively seeking out more information and will let you know as soon as I have it. Aside from the big final surprise, what did you guys think of the finale?
That's all for today. I'm back Friday with quotes of the week. And next week I'll have a review of Swingtown, the season premiere of Army Wives and much more. Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
