'Lost': You are so (butter)worth it
Most of the posts here on the Lost blog are pretty much your standard "analyze something to death" garden variety posts. And those are fine and well and kick major booty and the like. But there's a fine line between "analysis" and "didacticism," and I have you all to thank for helping both myself and the blog in general tow that line successfully.
After all, the point of writing a blog as opposed to say a novel is the interactive capabilities/opportunities present in the medium. This is not unidirectional discourse; it's a collaborative, often messy, and sometimes heated medium. The majority of the content put on this site came directly from ideas bounced around by you, the readers. It's great to write something, have you respond, and in turn get new ideas/insights/perspectives in return.
I feel you understand the cyclical give-and-take going on here, and as such, we have a little present for you, the loyal Zap2It Lost fans. If ever a part of this website was fan-inspired, this is it: Lost Butterworthed, a gallery of images inspired by the inspired comments you have all made about your favorite breakfast topping and the insidious face behind that product.
This hopefully soon-to-be phenomenon was the brainchild of your collective wit and more-than-slightly warped sense of humor, and I salute each and every one of you. This is for you guys. (Special thanks to my wife Diana, whose Photoshop skillz made the gallery possible, and my producer Andy for allowing this crazy set of photos to be part of this website.)
