October 2007
It was a cavalcade of guest stars on this week's Bones. Rider Strong (Cabin Fever, Pepper Dennis, Boy Meets World), Azura Skye (many, many things...she was just on an episode of House as the patient who could see ghosts) and Lynsey Bartilson (Grounded For Life) all made appearances. Strangely enough, this Halloween episode was the least gross so far this season. But it did have clowns. I hate clowns.
Hey, you know what happens when you game the system on a reality show that's supposed to be about inspiring personal change like The Biggest Loser? You get a lot of people really, really pissed off at you, you get a target on your back, and you can't really hide behind the contention that "I'm just playing the game!" You do not, alas, get the richly deserved boot in the behind many of us were hoping for. Curses.
The problem: How to introduce a half-dozen new characters on House, a show that rarely has time to slow down for exposition and personal shadings? The solution? Tuesday (Oct. 30) night's clumsy, yet informative episode.

Tonight has to be one of the most shocking eliminations I've ever seen on Dancing with the Stars. It actually might be top on the list. Seriously, I'm not just saying that. Read on and prepare to have your mind blown.
We've
reached the point on Dancing with the
Stars where one slip up could cost you a spot on next week's show. With only
two men left and all the ladies being as strong as they are, this is when
things get really tough. Hooray for people not sucking! Also, I really hate the way the British guy who announces the couples (and Len for that matter) pronounces Mambo and Samba. It bugs.
Sibling relations are tough on Journeyman -- if it's not one brother marrying his older brother's ex-girlfriend, becoming a compulsive gambler, and then getting unstuck in time at the most inopportune moments, it's an older brother with rage and robbery issues covering up for his mad-genius, mad-bomber younger brother in the past. Makes my fights with my sisters about eavesdropping and makeup-stealing seem pretty trivial.
Listen, Chuck (and Chuck's writers), we need to talk. I love your show, I really do, but do you honestly need to make every other episode some variation on "Chuck is convinced his new spy friends don't have his best interests at heart, Chuck decides to trust someone else, Chuck is wrong and sees the error of his ways"? Because seriously, we get it.
How does Harold (John Cho) of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle fame show up on How I Met Your Mother and not get to spend time with Neil Patrick Harris of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle cameo fame?
