There aren't a whole lot more ways to express just how good Friday Night Lights is -- "best drama on TV right now," maybe? And even after an episode that felt a little uneven in spots, I still sit here a little bit blown away at the quality of the writing and acting on this series....

Let's make a pact, you and me and all the other Lost watchers out there. Let's agree, from now on, just to ignore ABC Promo Voiceover Guy for the rest of however long the show's on the air. Because he does a disservice to the show with his overzealous intonations. See, I really rather enjoyed Wednesday's...

On Tuesday night, the Idol Men raised the bar to somewhere below where the Women already were last week. On Wednesday (Feb. 28) night's American Idol, the best of the women raised the bar to a place the men probably couldn't reach if they tried. Singer: Gina GlocksenSong: "Alone"My Take: Gina starts off in a coma,...

Oh wow. I can't believe that Piz totally did Dean O'Dell in. Who would have thought that the lovesick sidekick would seethe with such jealousy, scheming at night during his college radio show to impress Veronica with his criminal masterminded prowess? Okay, obviously poor Piz wasn't revealed as the Dean's killer on Tuesday (Feb. 27)...

America's Next Top Model should take a page from reality rival American Idol and realize that absence truly makes the heart grow fonder. AI only comes around once a year and creates a frenzy every time. But with ANTM, it just feels like yesterday that psoriasis-conqueror CariDee English was crowned. It's a little tiring to...

Under many circumstances, it must be nice to be the President of the United States, but being the President on a FOX Monday night drama isn't one of those circumstances. Prison Break has already killed off one president and Monday's (Feb. 26) episode ended with somebody readying rifle for a presumptive assassination attempt. Things have been...

Normally, I might be a little bummed about an episode of Heroes that confined itself to just a couple of regulars and an equally small number of sets. Not so much tonight, though. I'm really in a bit of a fanboyish swoon about this episode, so let me get this out of the way and then...

When did sweeps periods cease to be about long-planned weddings, unplanned childbirth (in elevators, preferably) and awkward guest appearances by Cher? When did producers determine that the only ways to goose viewership were impending death, near death and actual death? There have been so many small screen slayings this season, that it's ceased to have any...

The Black Donnellys is likely going to be a series that rewards patient viewers. The show, which premieres at 10 p.m. ET Monday, Feb. 26, doesn't exactly reach through the screen and pin you to your seat, but over the course of its first few episodes reveals a nicely textured portrait of four brothers who, despite...
