Hug it out, b**ch

Rainnwilson_theoffice_s2_240So I guess we always knew, or at least strongly suspected, that Dwight had about as much spine as a wet piece of cardboard, but to see him fold so abjectly at the end of The Office Thursday ... wow.

And the drool! Dear lord, the drool!

"The Coup" had just an overflow of Dwight-Michael gold -- viz "Hug it out, b**ch. That is what men say to each other after a fight." -- but what really got my attention was the Stamford stuff. Could it be that our boy Jim is -- dare we even say it -- moving on a little?

Jim's new co-worker Karen seems to be warming to the new guy, after her aside to the camera about his mugging for the camera in the season premiere. If whacking a guy in "Call of Duty" is not the grown-up equivalent of running up to someone on the playground, punching him and running away, I don't know what is. And the pantomime hand grenade at the end was pretty sweet.

Of course, Jim didn't see Pam in her hot new top (Pam maybe needs to stop hanging around Kelly so much. I'm a little concerned for her). And I don't recall ever being creeped out by even some of the stuff on Nip/Tuck or even a particularly sadistic CSI as I was by Creed's "Just looking." Haven't laughed as much at such a creepy line either.

And then there's:

  • "Enturrahhge!" That's the best I can approximate the way Michael said the name of the show he loves.
  • "You can be in charge of the women." Even better, Angela seemed to like the idea after she thought about it for a second.
  • "Isn't that, like, your third soda today?" Another nice, human moment from Roy.
  • "It'll just be cool to have some after-work clothes that aren't pajamas." Wow, that's sad.
  • Ed Helms, who was an underrated player on The Daily Show in years past. I'm really starting to dig his Andy, who's sort of like Dwight, but with a much more believable malevolent streak.

So: Which moments from tonight's Office would you give a Dundie to?

When you think the boss at the Stamford branch is going to start complaining about actual job performance, but instead its about Jim's lack of expertise with the video game...and of course Jim's glances at the camera during this.

When Dwight tells Jan where to go shopping and wait for him. And she does.

When you get the feeling Jim's new coworkers will soon get him transfered back to his old job.

You all have the entire episode covered!

Dundies all around!!!!

"What's your dentist's name?"

"Crentist."

"Wow. That's an awful lot like dentist."

"...That's probably why he became a dentist."

That line where Michael says "Entourage!" had me laughing for like 5 minutes. I don't know, just the way he said it...haha, it's great.

Oh yeah, and why aren't more people watchinng this show? I mean, I like Grey's Anatomy too, but this is 10 times better.
