'Dancing' results: Shanna, come back!

Since they aired on Fridays last season, and this blog wasn't around to compel me to watch, I never watched a Dancing with the Stars results show until Wednesday.

Sweet fancy Moses. And I thought the American Idol vote-off shows were padded. I mean, was America clamoring so loudly for Tucker Carlson that the show needed a bit called "Tucker: Behind the Sequins"? First Leno, now this: Never has the first contestant booted from a reality show milked his time for so long.

I'm also wondering why, a full 24 hours after Tuesday's performance show, all the competitors are still wearing the same clothes. And who told Samantha that Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" is an "all-time classic"?

I have time to wonder about all this because it takes 50-plus minutes to find out who the bottom two are. It wouldn't have taken quite as long, but we had to find out just how nerve-wracking the elimination process is from pretty much everyone.

Willa and Maksim and Shanna and Jesse are the bottom two couples. They were separated by but one point on the judges' scorecards; which pretty blonde will it be?

The suspense is .. uh ... suspenseful? Or, you know, not so much. Shanna is headed home, and I gotta think it was the Kriss Kross that did her in.

Dancing to the slow version of "Jump Jump" did not sit well with me. The routine was boring, the song was old and boring and I can see why they were in the bottom. But, then again, Jerry seem to have 9 lives - he must truly be a cat. If that's the case, then it's time that 'Tom' give Jerry the boot off the show.

I LOVED THIS SHOW WHEN IT WAS
TRULY BASED ON TALENT. NOW IT
IS A POPULARITY CONTEST. WHEN THEY KEPT JERRY AND BOUNCED HARRY YOU KNEW THEN THE SHOW IS A POPLULARITY CONTEST NOT A TALENT SHOW.TOO
BAD.......
