Casey_bigbrother11_290 Our last "Big Brother 11" preview is The Artists (because the show debuts tonight, everybody get excited!).

The show is calling this group the "Off-Beats," which I find kind of weird. The amount of tattoos Lydia has may be outside the norm, but other than that I don't know what is so off-beat about a 41 year-old teacher/DJ or a graphic designer. So I like to call them the Artists because it makes them sound less outcast-y. I also don't like the implication that it's "out there" to be gay or bisexual, so I'm going with "Artists."

Casey Turner (pictured above) is a 41 year-old fifth grade teacher who moonlights as a DJ, which is just fantastic. I've heard he's a little bit of a Mike Boogie-type guy, so we can only hope he has Boogie's humor but none of Boogie's annoyingness and douchebaggery. Casey joins Michele and Ronnie as the only married houseguests.

Kevin Campbell is a 29 year-old single gay man who works as a graphic designer. He was a Jehovah's Witness growing up but was excommunicated at the age of 21 and is now cut off from his family. He hopes that his parents will see him on this show and be proud of the man he's grown up to be. I think that's about the sweetest and saddest thing I've ever heard and I hope this show somehow gets him back in touch with his family. On a lighter note, he is Japanese and African American, so he likes to call himself Blasian or Japanegro and says he isn't afraid to get all bitchy in the house.

Lydia Tavera is a 24 year-old bisexual special-effects makeup artist, which is the coolest job in the history of everything. She also used to work as a nanny for a famous couple, though we don't know which one, which is also cool. She is single and has a really close relationship with both her parents and all her siblings.

Kind of a different cast of house guests this season in the Big Brother 11 house. Not as many models/actors, and more regular seeming people. I like it!
