Who Will Jessie Target on 'Big Brother'? (SPOILERS)

By Andrea Reiher

Angie Predictably, Brian went home tonight on Big Brother. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the 9-1 vote, but I thought Angie and Steven would make it 7-3. I understand why they didn't want to go against the group, though. I thought Steven might win HOH, which would've made April/Libra/Michelle/Keesha just crap themselves, but unfortunately our dim-witted giving-Iowa-a-bad-name boy Jessie won.  Who will he nominate?

According to post-HOH live feeds, Steven is the actual target for the week. That surprises me a little. He does seem a titch more with-it than Dan, but I figured Angie was going down this week. According to an Ollie, April and Jessie conversation, the plan is to nominate Dan and Angie and then use the Veto on one of them to put up Steven. Libra and Michelle join the conversation and it appears they are lambasting either Angie or Keesha for "running around" with Dan and Steven. Like it's some kind of crime not to hang out all the time with Ollie/April/Libra/Michelle.

I find this to be a wrong move for Jessie and, by extension, Memphis. April/Michelle/Libra/Ollie are tight and Jessie and Memphis are going to be left out. If Jessie was smart, he'd pick up the pieces of Brian's alliance (Steven, Dan and Angie) and get Memphis and suddenly he's got a pretty solid thing going. But that would require Jessie to be smart. We don't want miracles.

A very telling conversation transpires briefly where Libra says you would've thought the Brian Group was at "The Improv" the other night (puppet show night) they way they were laughing. And Michelle comments that she didn't find them remotely funny. Libra says she never even had "a chuckle" and Jessie, Ollie and April are in agreement. That, to me, says a lot about these people becuase I found Brian, Steven, Dan and Angie extremely funny and entertaining. Memphis seemed to, so it's too bad he didn't stick with them.

I would rather watch smart people be fun and humorous than dumb people be dramatic and scream at each other any day of the week, so it is really unfortunate that the latter group of people seems to be in power. To illustrate my point, this Backyard Crew starts going off on playing "Buzz" the night before the HOH and Brian being goofy and crap. They really seem to take this game a bit too seriously.

Comments

I completely agree. I would rather watch smart funny people enjoying themselves and approaching the game with less intensity and narrow-mindedness than those bickering jealous haters (aka. Paranoia Posse-which Angie so wisely named them).

It's too bad Memphis is stuck to Jessie b/c they really should let go of April/Libra/Ollie/Michelle and pick up Dan/Angie/Steve. Michelle, tho she's incredibly annoying, at least is playing those girls. She's tight with Jessie/Angie/Memphis and knows that they should keep Angie off the block this week. Nevertheless, I'm not a fan of her at all.

Keesha bugs me also. She talks out of two sides of her mouth and is showing she can't be confided in. I'm glad Angie learned the truth last night that Keesha isn't on her side.

Also, noms have changed & will be Dan/Steve, with a Renny replacement if necessary. Steve being the target, as you said.

Libra/April have to be dealt with soon. They're vicious and controlling, and constantly have to be at the center of attention. I really hope they go soon.

Why is it always the boring losers who are in power (see team christ of the previous season)?

Being smart, entertaining, and funny would seem to be traits that guarantee that you will NOT win Big Brother, if history is any guide.

Let's look at the people who've won this game:

Adam Jasinski: complete tool with zero entertainment value.

Dick Donato: complete bastard, but entertaining if you like watching abusive people.

Mike "Boogie" Malin: complete douchebag and master of coattails.

Maggie Ausburn: bitchy, catty, and boring-as-toast.

Drew Daniel: snooze.

Sun Jong: total bitch.

Lisa Donahue: anyone remember anything about her?

Will Kirby: complete bastard but endlessly entertaining.

I agree with the above posts. It is the horrendously irritating people that seem to dominate the Big Brother house. I am still reeling from the Girl Scout troup of BB6 and the 9 sore losers who voted for Lisa to win BB3. However, I must disagree about Jun Song: she was incredibly funny, almost Margaret Cho-esque...total bitch is a compliment.
