'Big Brother 10': What would Willie do?

By Carrie Raisler

Steven_3 It's day 16 in the Big Brother 10 house. Guess it's about time for someone to go crazy! Oh, who am I kidding. These people were crazy long before CBS ever came knocking on their door.

Before we get to the nuts (and bolts) of the episode, a recap: Brian was evicted, Jessie won HoH and nominated Steven and Dan, Dan employed a laying low strategy that included throwing the veto competition, a new alliance formed between Memphis/Angie/Jessie/Michelle, Michelle won the veto but didn't use it, and Jerry and Libra fought over something stupid. But, really, is there anything truly intelligent to fight over in the BB house?

Julie welcomes us to the show in day-glo orange, looking like nothing more than the very best Volunteer booster mom in the state of Tennessee. Oh, and there's a studio audience there but this is the last time I am mentioning them until they actually serve a purpose. Julie leads us right into the "drama" and we see Steven fighting his hardest to stay alive, and Keesha joining him in that fight as she's started to regret her initial alliance with Libra, Ollie and April. Steven starts to make some sense when he corners Libra, Ollie, April and Keesha and argues that he could be a useful ally to them, and he didn't even vote for the evil Brian to stay in the house anyway! He's one of the cool kids, just like them! Libra is determined to get out floaters (namely Jerry, Renny, Steven and Dan) but seems to be considering his position, especially since they are starting to realize the new alliance between Angie, Memphis, Jessie and Michelle that's forming and how damaging that could be to them. Will they flip the vote and get rid of Dan, essentially casting the first stone against their initial alliance of eight? Um...as hard as the BB editors are working to make me believe, I kind of doubt it. (Spoiler!)

I wasn't overly bummed that Steven went. Outside of being gay, he's not very interesting. I find old Jerry more intriguing. Would anyone dare take him in the final 2 game?
