"American Idol" delivered a 13.9/22 for FOX at 8 p.m. A "Survivor:
Tocantins" clip show -- moved to Wednesday because of CBS' NCAA
tournament coverage Thursday -- drew only a 5.0/8, one of the show's
lowest ratings ever. "Scrubs," 3.5/6, and "Better Off Ted," 3.1/5, came
in third for ABC. "America's Next Top Model," 2.1/3, put The CW ahead
of NBC and "The Chopping Block." Read the full story here.

Apparently the Grand Ole Opry wasn't too grand for "American Idol." FOX still easily won the night with a 12.1/19 share, but its 21.5
million viewers were off by close to 4 million people compared to last
week. CBS finished second at 9.1/15. ABC, 6.2/10, came in third,
followed by NBC at 5.7/9. The CW drew a meager 0.9/1. Read the full story here.

CBS, which scored a 7.9/12 and 12.3 million viewers. NBC finished third
at 5.3/8, beating out ABC's 4.5/7. The CW drew a 1.2/2. Read the full story here.

A Thursday edition of American Idol shook up the normal ratings order for the night, propelling FOX to a win over CBS. FOX averaged an 8.8 rating/14 share for the night, narrowly beating
CBS' 8.7/14 for the lead (the gap in total viewers was a little wider:
15.27 million for FOX vs. 13.95 million for CBS). ABC was a distant

American Idol went up against a new episode of Lost for the first time this season, but it had little effect on its ratings. The first hour of "American Idol" delivered a 13.4/21 at 8 p.m, but Idol's second hour actually improved, to 14.2/22 at 9 p.m, soundly beating the new episode of Lost. Read the full story here.

The first American Idol results show carried FOX to a ratings win Wednesday night. The results show scored a 14.0/22 and 24.4 million
viewers at 8 p.m., with no other network coming close. CBS was the best
of the rest with "The New Adventures of Old Christine," 4.7/8, and
"Gary Unmarried," 4.6/7. NBC's "Knight Rider" and a "Lost" rerun on ABC
each drew a 3.6/6.Honestly, I'd be curious to see an episode of Idol go head-to-head with a new episode of Lost. I'm not surprised it was able to trounce a rerun. Read the full story here. More »

The naming of this year's American Idol semifinalists powered FOX to a dominant ratings win Wednesday night. FOX averaged a 14.1 rating/22 share in households for the night, and
its 24.6 million viewers were more than double the average for

for third. The CW's rerun slate could only muster a 0.7/1. Read the full story here.More »
CBS nearly pulled off the rare feat of drawing more viewers than FOX on an American Idol night on Tuesday, but FOX managed just to hold onto the title. CBS's near-victory was mostly due to The Mentalist, at 12.1/18, which captured the lead for CBS at 9 p.m. The Biggest Loser jumped
up to 6.8/10 in its second hour, topping the 6.2/9 for Fringe on FOX.
An hour of Scrubs earned a 2.8/4 for ABC. Privileged closed the
night for The CW. Read the full story here.

ruled the 8 p.m. hour with a 14.9/23. A "Criminal Minds" rerun on CBS

of last week's "Lost," 3.1/5, for third. The CW aired a "Privileged"
