How many Sanjaya Malakar's equal a Katharine McPhee? Is it the same ratio as Stanley Nickels to Shrutebucks, the ratio of Leprechauns to Unicorns? "American Idol," along with Upper Deck, is releasing trading cards. They are set to launch April 21st and will feature a variety of past contestants, plus the judges and Ryan Seacrest. I feel like the Seacrest card should be the really rare one, rimmed in silver and all sparkly. More »

Garnier has launched a contest called "Sing in the Shower," where contestants upload 60-second videos of themselves performing a song. The winner gets $5000 and tickets to the American Idol finale in May. They are looking for creativity and style in their winner. The contest ends March 16th, 2009, so get your video entries in soon! Via the Las Vegas Review Journal, all you American Idol fans who like to put your money where your mouth is can step right up. Las Vegas has set the odds on this year's Top 13. John Avello, director of race and sports operations at Wynn Las Vegas, has set as the front-runner Danny Gokey at 4-1, followed closely by Alexis Grace at 5-1 and Lil Rounds at 6-1. Last night the American Idol Experience opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park in Orlando, Florida and for the first time ever, all 7 Idol winners were onstage together. According to the Tampa Tribune, David Cook and Carrie Underwood performed a duet of "Go Your Own Way" at a special media event and were joined by Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks and Jordin Sparks. You can play Fafarazzi's American Idol Fantasy Game! You pick 3 people from Group 1 for the first week, 3 people from Group 2 for the second week and 3 people Group 3 for the third week. Your team earns points based on this scoring system. I'm not sure what happens once the Top 12 are chosen, but it looks like a fun game.
