Paulaabdul_foxtca2009_290 According to the Los Angeles Times, Paula Abdul's new manager says she may not be returning to "American Idol."

David Sonenberg began representing Abdul a few weeks ago and says he doesn't have a proposal for a new contract for the "American Idol" judge, so it does not appear she'll be back.

This following reports of judge Simon Cowell negotiating a $144 million contract extension and host Ryan Seacrest signing on for three more years for a total of $45 million.

Abdul said recently she'd been invited to remain as an "American Idol" judge and was optimistic about negotiating a new contract but apparently that is no longer the case.

I'm actually a little sad about it. While I think they need to tweak some things if they keep all 4 judges, Paula's been the ray of sunshine for the contestants since the get-go. I will miss her. Plus, she provides so much source material in the recaps.

What do you think? Do you hope she works it out and returns? If you'd like to join the grass-roots Twitter movement, Twitter #KeepPaula.

I dont think idol would be the same without her I would love to see her stay on board.

no. let the dummy go already.kara too. replace them with someone who isnt always drunk. mabe the winners should judge. that would make sense.

One of them should go, but I'd prefer it be Randy. He adds absolutely nothing to the show. While Kara may all too often agree with him, at least she can articulate a coherent sentence or two. Paula drives me insane but she provides more than her share of water cooler fodder.

I think Idol is crazy for letting Paula go. She's a big part of the show's success. Sorry, but I don't like Kara as a judge. She has no chemistry with the judges or the show. Paula's chemistry with Simon is unique and fascinating.

Send them all away and cancel this tired show.

Who cares? They are all talentless has beens making vomitous comments about talentless nobodies that will be forgot in less than 6 months.

Fire them all and save the world.

After all the Danny Gokey lauding the judges did this season, it's obvious they are dreadfully out of touch. I think we need new blood.
I think Paula is the only judge who should stay, she at least brings a good-natured personality and a desire to soften the harshness of the music industry for the kids.

If it were up to me, I would get rid of Simon, Kara and Randy, and get Piers Morgan and a real music industry insider to judge the kids. Simon and Kara are fun to watch from a "I can't believe the egos on those two' standpoint, but that wears thin over the course of a season.

I would also fire all of the producers. They are brazenly manipulative of the show, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to really care about the show.

i won't watch this show without Paula!! (well, i don't watch it with her either but whatever....) :)

Paula was a terrible judge, who rarely had anything of importance to say to the contestants. She would just always say a bunch of random crap that made no sense. I appreciated that she wanted to be nice, but man, do your job and actually judge. I can sit up there too and act all loopy for an hour. She was not earning it I don't think
