UPDATED: 'American Idol' Glitter Girl Alexis Cohen found dead
According to the Asbury Park Press, Alexis Cohen, the crazy "Glitter Girl" who auditioned twice for "American Idol," has been found dead in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, the victim of an apparent homicide.
Cohen, from Allentown, PA, was found dead outside at about 4 a.m. Saturday (July 25) at Dupont Avenue and Bay Boulevard. Authorities have determined that Cohen was struck and killed by a motor vehicle, which fled the scene. Video of one of her auditions is below.
I'm starting to think Idol is cursed. First the poor family killed on the way to the Orlando auditions, then the poor dog that died in the car in Denver, now Alexis Cohen. Has anybody seen Randy Jackson lately?

i remembered her, just not by name. I remembered her story of living in one room w her mother and I was concerned for her. For some reason her death is sad news, but from what I know of NDEs I will focus on that and my condolences to her family and her friends.

You have that wrong -- WE are cursed because this train-wreck of a so-alled "reality" show is still on the air! (Yes, I believe it is "fixed" by the producers -- through manipulation if not outright vote cheating.)

@Bob -- you really gotta lighten up. If news from this sucky show depresses you, apparently you don't watch any nightly news shows.
I remember her story and was hoping that Her and Her Mom would be able to have a better life since being on A.I., I heard on the local news this morning here in Maryland that she was hit by a car.
Idol is "cursed" because a handful of people with a minor to tenuous (a family on the WAY to an audition??? really?) connection to the show (out of hundreds of thousands) died?
That's not much of a curse.
She always seems a bit "off" to me - felt sorry for her and wondered if maybe drugs were in the picture.
Needless to say, she was too young ... so sad
