Auditions for season 9 of 'American Idol' announced
There isn't much down time in the world of "American Idol," is there? FOX has announced the auditions cities and dates for season 9 and they start in less than two weeks. Holy cow!
I realize that they don't really do much all Fall, but I had no idea that auditions would start this early after the show ended. No wonder the judges can be so punch-drunk during auditions, they've only had about three weeks off from the giant hoopla of the finale!
Is it your dream to be the next Kris Allen or Carrie Underwood? Or are you just street-rat crazy and want to be made fun of on national television? We have the info for you!
So far the dates and cities look like this. Registration at each site will take place the two days before the audition date:
Boston: Gillette Stadium, June 14
Atlanta: Georgia Dome, June 18
Los Angeles: Rose Bowl, June 30
Orlando: Amway Arena, July 9
Denver: Mile High Stadium, July 14
Chicago: Dates to be announced
Dallas: Dates to be announced
Judge Kara Dioguardi said on "The View" on Friday that she doesn't know if she's coming back to "American Idol." I guess she has 11 days to figure it out. Personally, I hope to see her back. She pretty much won me over for life when she told Bikini Girl to "just come naked next time" and then just when I thought I couldn't love her any more, she upstaged her and flashed a bikini at us. Well done, Ms. Dioguardi. Well done.

i could not agree with you more. she stays. haha
you know that the judges don't really show up until the second or third round. These dates are all initial dates. At this stage the contestant tries out before non-celebrity judges. No worries for Paula and Simon and the rest -- they will have a very nice vacation
They prob have Kara doing it. She really is a bad 4th wheel. Bet she is jelous of the talented Paula Abdul.
I liked kara i dont think paula will last much longer anyways so kara could just take her place.
I truly hope Kara gets the f*** out! I can't stand her. Oh, and WHY was it so necessary to upstage Bikini girl??? Kara is just a petty, wanna-be(failed pop star/dropped from 2 record labels)loser.
