Adam Lambert tells Rolling Stone: Of course I'm gay
"American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert's sexuality has been quite the hot topic this season but an interview with him in Rolling Stone today answers all the questions.
The full text of the article is coming later today, but the highlight (at least regarding Adam's sexual orientation) is that he is, in fact, gay and admits to having a crush on Kris Allen. Lambert said, "I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me."
First of all, I don't think anyone is jaw-droppingly surprised.
Secondly, I never thought it was a big deal in the first place but I guess now everyone can rest easy knowing for sure. Or something. I mean, does it really matter? You're either going to like Adam's voice/style/music or you're not and somehow I don't think his sexuality will change that.
Finally, of course he has a crush on Kris Allen. Who doesn't? I want to put Kris in my pocket and carry him around so he can sing just to me and then we'll read Harry Potter together and I'll give him a lifesaver and tuck him in.

Real quick now, someone please tell me how Adam's choice of which sex he's attracted to should matter to any of us one iota? What he does in the privacy of his own bedroom is none of our business, and this media fixation on "Is he gay? Is he straight? Is he bi-?" is so absurd, it should be illegal.
Lambert has cl*** which is more than I can say for the mutlitude of "news" sites pushing his sexual preference as newsworthy. He also has talent that people are going to remember.
I must admit that the Kris Allen crush is endearing. Having a crush on a guy/girl "friend. Sigh, haven't we all been there?
so what! it does not matter to me i think he is a superstar.

Adam's sexuality is not a surprise and quite frankly doesn't influence me one way or the other.I love him as an entertainer and his fabulous talent..This 60 year old hopes to see him perform live one day in Halifax,NS Canada as does many of my friends.He is destined for greatness,so versatile and hopefully will do a catalogue of music geners that will appeal to all ages..not just heavy rock. This approach would make for fantastic live concerts.Can't wait for his first CD!!
All I care about are his voice, his performing ability, his shift changing good looks, his humbleness, his cl***iness, his kindness, his fearlessness, his humor.
Who the hell cares? Adam is an idol !
