Winner David Cook's Brother Passes Away

We learned today that "American Idol" season 7 winner David Cook's brother passed away late last night in hospice care.

"Adam passed away peacefully," a friend of the Cook family told Radar Online. "He was surrounded by his family, including his wife Kendra, his children, his father and his step-mom, among others."

David was on a plane to be with Adam when he passed away but had been to see him a couple weeks ago and they said their goodbyes then.

 Our thoughts and prayers go out to David Cook and his family.
