VIDEO: Kris Allen's 'Heartless' performance
Following Kris Allen's rendition of "Heartless" on Tuesday night's "American Idol," Simon Cowell said he had previously figured Kris was done after this week, "but that has all changed after this performance." (Our recapper, Andrea, seems to think so too.)
It was, indeed, a pretty huge comeback for the Arkansan, who got mixed reviews for his first performance of the night, One Republic's "Apologize." It sets up what could likely be an extremely close vote on Wednesday's results show. Take another look at "Heartless" and let us know what you think: Was the performance enough to put Kris into the finals with either Adam Lambert or Danny Gokey?

I think Kris had a phenomenal performance. He should be giving Adam a run for his money. I know there are several Adam fans, and there is no denying that the guy is talented. However, a fan of Adam and his screaming in every song - I am not! I would love nothing more to see Kris give Adam the biggest American Idol upset to date.
There is a show called Taking The Stage on MTV. A 17 year old girl named Mia performed this same song in the exact same way 3 weeks ago on the show. Kris was in no way original and I do not think he deserves to go on.
I know it wasn't original but it was GREAT. Kris had me at Falling Slowly. That was his moment. No matter which screamer wins Kris is my American Idol.
Kris deserves to be in the final along with Danny.
I personally like Adam the best but the problem with him is that what he does is not liked by a lot of people. Many people don't like rock and many people don't like being screamed at. To win American Idol one has to be versatile. Adam is indeed versatile but he does not always show that. He sings slow melodious songs very well but he chooses to sing rock show after show. If he had sung something slow and controlled in this episode I think he would have nailed the final. Right now, I am not too sure.
Having said that, Adam will be the most successful American Idol alum... ever!
What happened Kris why you performed in that way. If you go to the finals you will definitely win. Good luck.
yea.. it wasn't exactly original. the fray sang it somewhat like that. but still, as randy said, kris' rendition was better than anything i've heard on the show.
well... it thought it was pretty gud!! i am relly confused but although i lik kris i think adams gonna win hes gud 2 !!
I watch Taking the stage and Mia's version is the same as Kanye's and Kris' is not. The versions are not the same, and he did not steal this version from her, listen and compare clearly they are different.Kris did great I love this version.
