Steve Martin, Keith Urban to perform on 'American Idol' results tomorrow

Wild-and-crazy guy Steve Martin is taking part in the "American Idol" festivities tomorrow night.

Emmy and Grammy winner Martin is appearing to play a song from his new album The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo, which hit shelves today. I'm beyond excited, I love Steve Martin with all my heart. My most favorite thing he's ever done is below (sorry it is only audio).

There are no details yet regarding Keith Urban's performance but he has been added to the cavalcade of stars appearing on tomorrow night's show.

As a banjo player myself I'm ecstatic to see Steve getting such exposure. Most of the banjo community respects Steve for his banjo playing and getting it out there. The performance on Idol probably leaves most serious banjo players scratching their heads, but so does just about anything from Hollywood.
