Anoop Desai, A Boy After My Own Heart
It is being reported by no less than three North Carolina news outlets that "American Idol" contestant Anoop Desai faked an illness so he could skip an Idol rehearsal and watch the University of North Carolina win the national basketball championship on Monday, April 6th. As the first two rounds of March Madness are my favorite 4 days of the entire year, I can sympathize. That's my boy, Anoop!

He didn't care about being a singer that much.
He probabaly didn't go to the taping of the group song which they were going to lip-synch the next day. Good on him. I hate lip-synching.
How could a singing competition lip-synch group songs?
