'American Idol' alum Latoya London in 'The Color Purple'

Season three "American Idol" 4th place finisher LaToya London is currently appearing in the national touring company of musical "The Color Purple" as Nettie.

I was a big LaToya London fan during season three. Widely regarded as the weakest of all Idol seasons, I found Latoya London to be a bright spot among the contestants and thought her ouster in 4th place was a real shame. I was always hoping for a LaToya-Fantasia finale. LaToya's debut album "Love & Life" was released in 2005.
