Danny "American Idol" finalist Danny Gokey returned home for his grandfather's funeral this past weekend, according to the site Every Day Christian. He is back in Los Angeles, however, and will perform tonight on tonight's show.  I have to say, Danny isn't my favorite contestant, but he's really taking it on the chin this last year or so. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. More »

Adam I reported last week that the theme for the Top 9 on "American Idol" is the iTunes Top 100. I have now been hearing that it may not *just* be limited to the current Top 100 downloads, which is good because that list had a lo-ho-ho-ot of Hip Hop. No offense to our Top 9 but I don't see that going very well for very many of them. More »

Danny Via Associated Content and Vote for the Worst, it seems like this coming week's "American Idol" theme is going to be the iTunes Top 100. Man, does this sound like a trainwreck to me.

The list of the Top 100 songs is full of Hip-Hop, which probably no one but Lil Rounds can pull off. On the other hand, Adam Lambert could do "Tracks of my Tears" again.  Here is the complete list: More »

Ryanseacrest_americanidol_240_002 "American Idol" delivered a 13.9/22 for FOX at 8 p.m. A "Survivor: Tocantins" clip show -- moved to Wednesday because of CBS' NCAA tournament coverage Thursday -- drew only a 5.0/8, one of the show's lowest ratings ever. "Scrubs," 3.5/6, and "Better Off Ted," 3.1/5, came in third for ABC. "America's Next Top Model," 2.1/3, put The CW ahead of NBC and "The Chopping Block." Read the full story here. More »
