Jennifer Hudson Soaring

Last night, American Idol season 3 alum Jennifer Hudson took home her first grammy, as she won Best R&B Album for her self-titled solo debut, thanking God and her family both here and in heaven.

She also kicks off a nation-wide tour on April 2nd in Philadelphia. She'll be co-headling with Robin Thicke and will hit most major cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Atlanta. The tour wraps up in May in Houston, Texas. No word as to whether she'll make a stop in her hometown of Chicago.
